V Day
Wednesday - February 13th, 2008
Bah. It’s that time of year again where big corporations remind single folk just how terrible it is to be alone. It’s the second one alone in a row now so I should have got used to it by now, but no. Anyway, I’m having a V Day boycott - invite a few mates over, open a bottle or two of vodka, watch a few films and forget all those loved up couples out there. Feel free to give us some ideas for films.

I never used to hate V-day. I’ve never been in a relationship for one, but it didn’t matter. At least until my older sister went into grade twelve, when I was grade ten. She recieved literally twenty presents! She made me carry some on the bus, because her hands were full. My younger sister and I didn’t even get a card that year.
Needless to say, it’s not fun anymore.
My buddies and I are going to see Rambo. Nothing says love like watching a really old guy blow stuff up.

I know what your saying I’ve been through about all but 3 of my V days alone. I recomend strong drinks good frends(that are in the same boat) and violent movies that have little to no mushy stuff.

Heh, nice. Spent Valentine’s Day with my girlfriend… good times. First one together. Sucks to be alone on V-Day. All the happy couples, and the lovehearts… damn them.

I was never a fan of V-day, but I did spend my time with my true love. And I put new graphics cards in her too!
Also I called my girlfriend and told her that if she wanted to see me she could walk to my house and watch me put fancy hardware in my computer.

Wow, now that I think about it, I have been alone on V-day for about 8 years now. I’m 18! I went to see Cloverfield, I am legend, and some horror film that sucked. Personally, I would’ve liked to watch a Hitchcock movie instead. He was the best horror writer of all time, and cool because he did it all without gore! Watch something like “The Open Window”.

Actually, this day that you are bemoaning, Mike, was my first ever V-Day with a partner. With my first partner, no less XD
Sadly, we broke up a while ago. :( I have a much better partner now.
