Wakes creep me out. I mean they are advertised as a party type thing, but if you turn up with half a bottle of vodka having already consumed the other half, and then proceeded to attempt to initiate a conga then people give you disapproving looks. Then you’re left standing there, trousers around your ankles, people staring… Awkwardness.

I think that they have it right in parts of the Caribbean. They will walk solemnly to the burial, dressed in black, mourning, but after the funeral is over, it’s time for a party. I mean real party time, not stand around quietly talking eating salmon sandwiches, I’m talking slap your knees it’s party time! I think it’s best to celebrate the life of the person, not to mourn their loss. And what better way to celebrate than with vodka and conga?

In site news, I’m going to be restructuring the site a bit, meaning, no more separate news and comics posts, I will try to include the news stuff in the comic post. It will make things easier for me to manage but shouldn’t really affect your comic viewing enjoyment.

Oh, and before I forget, thanks for everyone who has been voting on buzzcomics, we have gotten to position 46 in just a few days. This maybe because the board reset at the beginning on the month, the exact same time I submitted the site, or it maybe because you guys are super cool.
