Ok my way back home from town I was punched. Completely out of the blue. No provocation, nothing. And worse, it was by a 14 year old. I know he was 14 because I laughed at him saying he was only twelve, but he protested that he was 14. Unfortunately he hadn’t yet started puberty so I couldn’t exactly turn around and punch him back, I can’t imagine the police would accept “he started it!” as an excuse for a 20 year old punching a 14 year old. Sigh. The most amusing thing was that I had started walking away when they (he had two equally small friends with him) started shouting at us ( I had my brother with me). It was the usual kind of bravado that normally accompanies such altercations, but the funny thing was hearing it from voices that hadn’t yet broken. Deciding that we weren’t about to just let them stand there shouting at us, we merely turned around and started walking, at which point the shouting rapidly feel into a quite talk. The problem came when trying to understand what exactly they were saying, a lot of it what completely foreign to me. I made out some insults about my clothes, apparently my jeans came from Oxfam, funny since they quite honestly looked like they had crawled off of a building site, complete with dirty tracksuit bottoms, falling apart trainers and raggedy jackets. After a few minutes we decided it wasn’t worth the risk that some one would see us beating up kids, so we just walked off. The thing that got me was that I’m 6” 2’ and this kid didn’t even come close to my shoulder in height, and yet he still felt to urge to punch me, for no reason. I dread to think where this country is headed if kids think it’s ok to have no respect for anyone, and lack to common sense not to pick fights with people bigger than them. Hopefully they’ll run into some in more of a bad mood than I was who will hit them back. Hard.

I’ve punched a kid when he deserved it, and I’m an 18 year old female.
I think “he started it” is a perfectly justifiable excuse however, so maybe my opinion doesn’t count.
Unfortunately, I’m loud and opinionated so people don’t really go out of their way to pick fights with me. I’ve only had two confrontations, one I punched the bugger and the other I sort of pushed into a locker. Both took off running.
I didn’t feel like chasing however. I’m lazy.

By the way, do people just naturally like to attack you? I don’t think I’d mess with someone as tall as you. First you get the crazy attack at the mall, and now some kid’s taking you on. I’m glad I live in Canada if this is what the rest of the world is coming to.

I probably would’ve done the same thing, I’m not a particularly violent person. Still. The kids need to learn a lesson, but beating the crap out of them might just teach them to pick their marks rather than actually change their ways. Or they may cease it, but still be complete douchebags for the rest of their existence. I could care less if people saw me beating up on a kid, though. If the situation warranted me defending myself…

just my opinion but i think the whole “they started it” argument is valid. they want a fight..they can have one.

In the US you can’t hit a minor (under 18) if your not unless he swings at you three time. Why three I don’t know. On the other hand you can take the little brat by the scruff of the neck and take him to his parents. I mean even the most unreasonable parents at least want there kids to have a reason if nothing else.

Wow, the US seems pretty harsh. People get shot for trespassing all the time, and yet you have to wait for a little bugger to attack you three times before you can hit him? Bummer.

I have the height of a pro westler, but the build of a little girl, which more than out weighs my height unfortunately. I often think how great it would be to put on 5 stone and take over a little village, but then I realise I’d have to cook food, and buy food, and eat food. That’s a lot of effort for just one village.

Yeah punk deserved a beating. You should buy a taser. I would have loved to see the kid piss himself when you pulled that out asked if he really wanted a fight then clicked it a couple of times for effect. That or mace. Carry some mace. Thats always good for a laugh. They punch you, you mace them, then you walk away.

I live in the US. Yeah, I get picked on by the 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. I am in ninth grade and none of the other higher grades pick on me. Probably because then I was in 7th grade I brought a stereo to an after school party and tackled one of the kids who was kicking the stereo, sat on him, repeated punching him in the face and slammed his friends into the lockers and promptly proceeded to pull their heads together, knocking them to the floor, punched the guy who got up that I tackled, who fell down, and kicked them all. Then, I turned around and yelled down the hall saying “Does anyone else want to call me gay, and kick my stereo?” Nobody else did except for a year later. To him, I just pushed him, and he told his friends, who freaked out and left.
I thought it was pretty dang funny.

i own a gamestore… and one day a white supremy wannabe came in and started messing with the customers. Now, im 6′0 and about 130 pounds. (when the fight happened i was 120 pounds.) He went up to the counter and was talking to the clerk next to me, who was puerto rican. Well as this kid thought nothing was going to happen to him after insulting everyone. I grabbed him by his shirt slammed him into the former glass counter(he broke it… with his face…). Followed by kicking him once to the side. Gave a speech to him, and explained that if i found out that he did anything like he did today i would be forced to take action.
He left the store, with the help of one of his friends. I recently saw him walking down the street near my store. He saw me and ran away.
I feel bad for hurting him, but sometimes people need a good beating to figure out how to behave.
