He has a date

Mornings. I’m not a morning person at all, and I don’t like people who are morning people. It’s just not right. In the morning you should be tired, groggy and grumpy.

The comic is a bit late, going up just before 5am Wednesday morning. The reason it’s late is because I went to see one of my favourite shows, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, recorded live. It was great fun, but it was quite a surprise that it took 3 hours to record enough material for a half hour show. Crazy.

  1. 3 hours is a bit crazy. I’m sure it only took a couple of hours at most when Lemme from Motorhead was on (he stormed off the set just after principle filming, but before the re-takes. This was especially funny to us in the live audience because he was given an award during the show, but the cameras missed it, so they re-filmed as much as possible and edited it together pretty well for broadcast. Marc Lemar then referred to it a few times in later shows).

  3. Also very jealous about Buzzcocks - I really should spend less time in the pub and more doing stuff like that.
    NEWays I agree with you in principle about mornings, however I had the best moment waking up yesterday. As my alarm went off I was deep into some dream I can’t remember, I stood straight up out of bed and thrust both arms aloft and shouted “YES!” at the top of my voice but had absolutely no idea why (apparently my dream was going well). I stood there feeling extremely heroic for some unspecified reason for about ten seconds while my alarm continued to go off. Absolutely the best way to get up - however without lots of happy pills I’m pretty sure it’s unrepeatable.

  5. Buzzcocks was great, I highly recommend going. Tickets are free so it’s a cheap night out, and definately makes a change from the usual pub night out.

    @Codekingmss - what, from the wow strip a week or so back? Erm, it’s been a long time since I played WoW, I’m not sure I rememeber either to be honest!

  6. I too agree with mornings. Even as a little kid I was not a morning person, and by now I require coffee to be able to function within three hours of awakening :3
