Fireworks Night

Ok, firstly sorry for the delay in getting the comic up. Not only was I distracted by the pretty flashes occurring outside my window but my server decided to burp and spit back my ftp requests. Right in the middle of me updating the site, which is why things may have looked bit squewif on Monday.

Anyway, the rant. Fireworks. I love them. Blame it on my inner pyromaniac. I love all things flammable and explosive. Ever since I was a kid I’ve loved to blow stuff up. And so I always look forward to fireworks night. But it seems that fireworks night start a week ahead of the 5th of November these days. Now, as I’ve explained, I love fireworks, so I wouldn’t normally complain. But when you are subjected to 4 hours of them everyday the week BEFORE fireworks night you get a bit annoyed, especially when they keep going late in the morning. I felt like my bedroom had been moved to Basra.

But, I guess there’s always the argument that… WOO FIREWORKS…

Is it actually called fireworks night? Also, is it wrong of me to assume that you’re talking about the same thing as in V for Vendetta? I love that movie, it’s so poetic. I just always wondered if the UK actually celebrated Nov 5th and if that was the actual reason. I know the difference between reality and movies. Really I do. :)

remember, remember the fifth of November, the gunpowder treason and plot I know of no reason Why Gunpowder Treason
Should ever be forgot. You know that rhyme from V for Vendetta we actually use it lol!….Yeah. We British celebrate it in memory of Guy Fawkes’ failed attempt at blowing up parliament and we make dolls of him and burn them on the bonfires, eat toffee apples, and lots and lots of fireworks are set off etc etc. It’s actually called Guy Fawkes night…and it makes me a little sad that you guys don’t really understand what you are celebrating…on the other hand it is a good excuse to set fire to things!

Fireworks are definately cool. We should create pyromaniacs united and have bonfires every night. ;)
