Etiquette
Something I have never been able to stand is people who can’t eat properly. Either people who insist on chewing with their mouths open; showing the whole world exactly what they are eating, or people whose chews can be heard from the other side of the room. I never understood why people eat so loudly, eating doesn’t require that much noise, unless you’re eating crisps. Obviously I don’t go around shouting at people eating noisy foods, but people who have clearly not grasped the basics of eating really tick me off.
Thanks to everyone who has added the facebook application so far. There were a few bugs in the release on Friday, meaning that some invites weren’t being sent (thanks to Iain for spotting that one!) but this should be fixed now so you can invite to your hearts content :-)

Ugh. One of my guy friends comes for lunch with us all the time, and he’s an absolute pig. He talks with his mouth full constantly, and he makes this sickening slapping sound with his lips. Makes me want to slap him. I keep trying to avoid taking him to lunch, saying things like, “Well I only have a few seats in my car. Unfortunately, everyone can fit. So there really is no excuse, or nice way to tell him that listening to him eat sickens me.

i have a friend like that…i keep telling him that his lunch sounds delicious but i don’t think he gets the message.
maybe i should be less subtle…or he should be less of an idiot…i havn’t decided which yet.

My brother is exactly like that. I don’t know how but he finds the noisiest foods to eat then eats them right next to me.

Greetings. Found this place via Project Wonderful, currently advertising my square. I love your sense of humour. Twisted and brilliant, the way webcomics should be.
Just thought I’d chip in my two pence.

Am with ya on that one, I used to work with this guy who was the loudest, chompiest, slurpiest eater I’ve ever heard. When he was on lunch, I used to put my ipod on, volume pretty high and I could still hear his slurpy chomps over the top of my tunage. Meh.

This is so totally true! Even at the cafeteria during lunch, where its super noisy, my friend chewing and chomping away is louder than my other friend telling me something. Then she’ll join in on the convo, but she somehow forgets to swallow, so we get a great look at her lunch. It bugs the junk outta me.

When your with someone you know, just tell them off. They are already being offensive and if they aren’t doing it consciously they should thank you for letting them know. If they are doing it on purpose then they are a jerk.

Have you tried jello through a straw? I made some tonight to take to school tomorrow.
