Download more RAM

Bah, computer problems. I hate them, in no small part because I know nothing about computers. I try adding some more RAM to my computer and it doesn’t work. It resets the BIOS, more than likely because I’ve shorted something out. Luckily it’s a good motherboard and was clever enough not to screw everything up just because of a bit of static. After getting the BIOS settings right again (thanks Iain and Matt) turns out there’s corrupted files on the hard drive as well. Lame. Sounds like I’ll have something to do this weekend afterall.

Because my mother’s a computer consultant, I know enough to be more than compotent. Though not as much as she knows or my sister. I trained my nana to use one when I was three, and it was old school before windows. We’ve always had computers.
But I did know more than the small ass town I went to highschool in. In Grade 8 I walked around with my teacher in computers class helping everyone work them. One girl had never even touched a computer before that class. It was a freaky experience.

As someone who grew up with three computers in the house, a computer geek brother, a father who has a weekly nerd night dedicated to that sort of thing, and a very good friend who fixes computers for a living, I am suprisingly clueless about these things.
